I love the retired SU stamp set Definitely Decorative Shells and decided to use it with some In Colors 2011-13:
I apologize for my photography! I used an old technique to make the background paper. I stamped an entire piece of 8.5x11 paper and then cut it into strips to have my own version of DSP. I added paper punched with the Scallop Border Trim punch and added an accent piece of paper on top behind my homemade DSP. I sponged around the Thanks a Million with Early Espresso to help soften the white and then popped the greeting up with dimensionals. Finally I stamped the Calypso cardstock in the same color with the sand dollar. Here is a closer picture to show the details better:
You may be able to see that I added Shimmer Spray - in honor of you Claudia!!! Thanks for reading and hope you have a wonderful week!

ReplyDeleteThis card is so cute! Love the bright colors and the idea of making your own background paper. I need to do that more often. Beautiful card and I am sure all who received it, love it too.
ReplyDeleteYay - shimmer spray! It does make me happy :-) I love how well you coordinated the cards with the theme! The greeting pops nicely
ReplyDeleteYour homemade DSP turned out great. Wonderful idea to have your thank you cards in the same theme. Nicely done, thanks for sharing :-)
