Positive Thoughts

Today I made a rather quick card with the help of the oh so pretty Laser-cut Bird Ballad cards....

BTW - the white "label" was created by using the exact same shape as the one behind it in Early Espresso... but only used a skinny strip of cardstock approx. 1 1/4 inch tall... centered on the die before cutting... then adhered to the Early Espresso on ...

Bird Ballad Laser-Cut Cards and more

So the other day I sponged some gold ink over the laser-cut card, but then didn't love it... so I sat it aside... today I made it work because we are not going to waste a pretty card like this!

I sponged copper ink on the back of the wooden feather and heat set so I could add the bow with a mini glue dot

It's a very fast card... and on some days we need exactly that...

Bird Ballad Laser-Cut cards

Today I wanted to do a simple card because I have been working on Stamp club projects and lets be honest... needed a break...

So I pulled out my new Bird Ballad Lase-Cut cards and made a quick card with one of them (you do get 12 in the pretty tin!  What a great deal!)

Here it is:

I layered some Cajun Craze CS under the laser-cut card front with mini dimensionals... and the I sponged some gold ink onto the leaf after it was die-cut... Oh and did you notice the wood disk under it? Love those new embellishments...

Doily Builder ("laser cut card")

The "Doily Builder" Thinits is another item that I knew I would love and use a lot. Today I created a "laser cut" card ... sort of.

I simply used the "inner" part only of the large doily thinlit and cut the pattern directly into the card front.

I then added a layer of Smoky Slate CS behind it on the inside using dimensionals

Using the framelit this way sure made for a fast card but elegant and I think striking.... Oh and the little wood butterfly was colored with an ink pad (see yesterday's post for video)
