Social Butterfly

Social Butterfly

Happy Thursday Everyone!  I’m Theresa Wade your guest blogger for today.  Thanks to Claudia for giving us the opportunity to blog.  Thank you to Joy for the wonderful ATC tutorial.

Did you know I am a “Social” Butterfly?  Really!  I love to find inspiration through “social-media” sites like Stamping in Columbus and others.  I won't post my inspiration piece here, but let you have the fun of trying to find it.

My other love is butterflies!  Recently my aunt shared that whenever she sees a butterfly she is reminded of her mom, my Grandma Back.

Last, you never  know where you'll find inspiration.  Can you guess what inspired the ink color?

Mix social media, butterflies and turquoise and what do you get?.......

Ta da!  The supplies I used were:
  • Classic Ink Tempting Turquoise
  • Embosslits "Beautiful Wings"
  • Clear stamp set "Fabulous Florets"
  • Clear stamp set "French Foliage"
  • Press on bling
I love a card that is simple and straight forward.  I also learned something along the way.  When I make this card again, I plan on "stamping off" the background and embossing the floral images.  I would also find a co-ordinating color for the sentiment so that it pops.  I hope this inspires you to give your "Social Butterfly" a chance to fly.    I love you Grandma.  :-)

  3. It's beautiful. I like that you only used the two colors, and the idea of embossing the flowers sounds great. Thanks for the wonderful inspiration!

  4. I love this color...tempting turquoise is my favorite to use! This is such a beautiful card.....great job! I am going to try a card like this with just 2 colors. I think embossing the flowers would be pretty too. Thank you for sharing your creativity!

  5. That is a beautiful card. I love the colors. Tempting Turquoise is one of the colors that I have a hard time using. I also love the simplicity of this card.
