I’m not kidding…and I like it! This card has a fresh, happy and hip look to it I think. And speaking of texture, the silver glimmer paper in particular… makes me want to share with you that the CHAMPAGNE glimmer paper (Item #127885) is still available for now, even though it’s not listed in the Spring Catalog. So if you need some, don’t wait too long!
There are 2 things that I want to point out on this card (another Leadership beauty, this one designed by Brenda Urioste).
A) The black piece of cardstock uses the “Vine Street” embossing folder from the Sale-a-Bration catalog, which you can earn for free right now. But that’s not what I really wanted to point out I wanted to tell you how it ended up so shiny. Well, VersaMark ink was applied to the inside of the embossing folder before it was sent through the BigShot. And then it was heat embossed with clear embossing powder! I think this looks pretty cool on black!
B) I am not sure if you can see it, but the greeting “layer” is actually a hole (punched out shape) in the front of the card. The greeting on the white piece of cardstock was layered behind the opening. Oh and wait, there is one more thing to tell you about!
C) Did you notice something on the small Butterfly?
It’s not only textured, but has thin thin slivers of cardstock for antennas!
