Retirement Blues

Today I played with my favorite stencils, which are soon going to retire... the "Happy Patterns Decorative Masks". I can't believe they are going away... sniff... same with the Sassy Salutations stamp set. It's such a fun one!

Speaking of fun...because I was feeling a little blue.. I decided to make a cheerful card!





I love how the 2 colors are blending. And it was very easy to do. I used stippling brushes with a rounded end... and ink pads of course. I lightly taped my whisper white layer to my work grid paper and put the mask over it, secured with masking tape. See my set up


This way, when I used the brushes in back and forth motion and even in circular motion, it did not lift up or move around!

If you have some stencils, give it a try. It's very easy and fast AND you'll get great backgrounds!
