Anything but the Holidays Blog Hop

Today I am participating in a Blog Hop that is going to feature items from the upcoming Holiday Catalog... BUT used in a "non Holiday" way. I can't wait what everyone has come up with. Please be sure to scroll down for the blog hop list!

I knew right away that I wanted to use the cat punch. And the idea of the window framelit in combination with it has been on my mind for a while... so I did this card:

A tip for coloring the tree: I inked it up with the Old Olive ink pad, then used a Chocolate Chip marker and went over the tree trunk and branches...

I actually used a piece of acetate (window sheet) in the window to make it look like glass. Maybe you can see it here a little better:

And since I didn't want to put a sentiment on the front, I stamped it on the inside:

I used the piece of Designer Series Paper that I had punched the cat from and used it as a mask to sponge the cat on the inside...
