Lasting Lily and out of the box technique

During stamp club this month I demonstrated a technique were a stamped image will be partially cut out around it's own shape and then is still attached or should I say part of another shape like a rectangle. I believe this technique was called "out of the box".

Well I did another card today but used an oval...

I stamped the flowers and stems, then used scissors to partially cut around the top of the blossoms. Then I slipped the oval framelit on so that the blossom parts were sitting on top of the framelit and would not get die-cut with the rest of the shape...

This is a very easy technique but looks dramatic and so very dimensional!
