January Stamp-a-Stack: Beautifully Braided

Card #2 for our January Stamp-a-Stack had a sympathy sentiment on it... or really any greeting could be used!

We first stamped the ginkgo in VersaMark ink and heat embossed it in clear... then brayered black ink over it for the emboss resist technique.  To keep the bottom part nice and clean, we used a piece of paper as "mask" to protect the area while brayering. You can get a similar look by using a piece of sponge and pulling then ink across the paper and not dabbing it... so you will get a smoother look
