Short box and no stamping

Today I am sharing a quick short Christmas box with you that I made to put a little ring dish into. And I was so thrilled that it worked perfectly!

Here is the end result:

I made to box with the gift box punch board using the 12x12 Kraft sheets. It used a sheet 9x9 and I had extra to make the band that goes around for the closure.. Once assembled, I simple decorated the sides with Designer Series paper. So easy!

The Poinsettia was punched with the Festive Flower Punch from red glimmer paper. And I put it together using hot glue and my silicone mat..

You're in my thoughts

Today I needed to mail out a sympathy card and didn't want to use the only one I have on hand because it's more masculine, so I made one with the "Remarkable you" stamp set.

I wanted to keep it simple but elegant and only used a hint of color. But then I still wanted it to feel special and added a tiny touch of glimmer ... in the center of the flowers and with the black glimmer paper banner strip and the glimmer butterfly....

I may have to make some more of this card to have on hand for sad occasions.

I CASE'd a card and I liked it

When I saw Anna Smith's card I knew right away I wanted to CASE it and give it my twist. So I did that today and absolutely love how it turned out! Thanks Anna for coming up with the concept of Black Carstock with the Winter Wonderland Vellum Stack...

Here is my card:

I stamped the pine trees in VersaMark ink onto the printed Vellum and heat embossed it in gold. If you decide to heat emboss on Vellum Cardstock, just keep in mind that you have to be a little more careful with the heat so it won't warp. Keep the heat gun away a little further...

I put a layer of black cardstock behind the Vellum that I stamped the pine trees on, in the same size. I prevents the gold stripes to show through. I also layered the Vellum banners with white and black cardstock so they would show up a little better...

One last tip... if stamping on any of our foil sheets like the gold one I used here, you want to use StazOn ink so... it will... well... "stay on" ;-) and not smear

Little Square Thank You

Today I wanted to make a small thank you note... just something cute enough to say thanks to a pet sitting client that left me some goodies... And here is what I came up with:

Did you guess what the paper in the background is? YES, it's some printed Vellum from the Winter Wonderland Vellum Stack again ;-)

But this time I simply sponged Old Olive ink all over it to dye it. How cool is that!?! So you are not limited to it being "white", you can make it any color you want it to!

In case you are wondering about the size of the card... it is only 3 1/2 square...

Last minute kind of card

... is exactly what I am going to share with you today. I almost did not post because it's way late. But then I reconsidered and thought let me just do a last minute card... that's what I call those that have mainly Designer Series paper...  see:

Now I know that you expect more from me, BUT we don't have to be artsy every day... sometimes we need easy. Just keep that in mind when you run out of your labor-some Christmas cards this year and you need a few more... and you simply can't go to the store because that's just not right... Yes, just pull out the Christmas DSP stash... that'll solve that problem ;-)

Sending Wishes your way

Today's card was inspired really by the colors... Tip Top Taupe and black glimmer paper is what I wanted to use. And I came up with a simple and elegant card:

Adding the Boho Chic texture as background added a rich and modern feel...

A world of Thanks

Today I needed a quick Thank You card and I wanted it have that "winter" feel to it be a bit seasonal. Here is what I came up with:

And since I still had some snowflakes punched from yesterday, I used them up and sort of  have the same color scheme... I just stamped a few snowflakes in the background in Pool Party because I didn't want them to take away from the sentiment...  Once I added the iced rhinestones to the snowflakes that really made the card ;-)
