You've got this and a Sketch

Today I decided I needed to just simply follow a sketch. So I pulled up trusty Pinterest and typed in the search box "Card Sketch"... found one I liked and  went to work.

Here is my card:

And here is the sketch:

I took the liberty and made it a regular sized and shaped card and not a square on... but because of that if of course does look a little different. And that's OK with me... because we never have to follow a sketch to the "t" - they are simply for inspiration ;-)

BTW - the technique used on the flower is called "Floating reinker resist" ... I may just do a quick video one day as a refresher for you guys... Leave a comment here if you would like me to do that...

  1. YES, I would LOVE for you to do a refresher on that technique; I tried it years ago and I never could get it to work nicely. Maybe your video would help me! Thanks for thinking of us!

  3. Hadn't thought of using that technique with this flower. It came out really cute, I love it! I remember seeing that technique used a lot with the retired Fifth Ave. Floral stamp set (did I recall that correctly? I would definitely love to see a video. The petals look like tea rose petals, super soft and very realistic. I bought this stamp set for the grunge background stamp that came with it and never thought I'd use the flower stamp till I saw your card. Now I'm really glad I have it. Thanks for the great share! Also, I really enjoyed your blog.
