XL card and a technique video
This month for my stamp club I showed the ladies how to do a cool background using baby wipes... and then stamped an open line image over it and cut out... a card similar to the one posted a while back. (see here). Well when I did the technique video today, I told said you could make more than just one background from one sheet of baby wipe and did just that... but then went and die cut butterflies from the piece.
While I am going to show you my card first, please be sure to scroll down if you are interested in the short little how to video. (nothing fancy... just to the point)...
Here is my finished card:
This is a super sized card! It's 8 1/2 by 5 1/2! Here is a closer look of the technique on the butterfly:
BTW, the ribbon was dyed with rubbing alcohol and Rich Razzleberry re-inker... the pearls were colored while still on wax paper using Blendabilities... or you can use a sharpie marker too! The butterflies were cut from thick white CS... I like it a lot for the detailed cut outs, gives it more body.
Oh and I made an envelope to go with it and used the neutrals envelope paper and just stamped the large butterfly on the front using my home made fun foam stamp...
