Limited Supplies = easy stamping

Hi guys, today I have a little project to show that I made to help out a fellow stamper friend to get a kick start on greeting cards. AND to show that one can create pretty nice cards even with somewhat limited supplies!

Theses are the items purchased this month and therefore featured :

"Abundant Hope" Stamp Set

Assorted CS in "Soft Subtles"

Naturals White CS

Black Embossing Powder

"Vintage Labels" Stamp Set (FREE SAB item)

Curly Label Punch

These items are already on hand:

Basic Black CS

VersaMark ink

Stampin' Up! Crayons

Aqua Painter

Glitter

Dimensionals

Scallop Trim Border Punch

Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder (could be replaced with any other one!)

Card #1:

abundant hope_1

Certainly Celery:  5 1/2 by 8 1/2 (folded here) = Card Base

Apricot Appeal: 5 by 3 3/4

Certainly Celery: 4 1/4 by 3 1/4 (left and right edge scallop  edge punched)

Basic Black: 4 1/8 by 2 5/8

Naturals White: 4 by 2 1/2

The Vintage Label with Greeting was stamped in black ink onto the layer that will be scallop punched. The greeting label was punched out with the matching punch.  Image was stamped in VersaMark ink and embossed with black Embossing Powder. Then it was colored in with Aqua Painter and Crayons. It was layered onto black CS, then onto the scalloped piece.  The piece of CS that measures 5 by 3 3/4 was texturized then layered onto card. Image layer was attached and greeting added with a dimensional

Card #2:

Abundant Hope_2

Apricot Appeal:  5 1/2 by 8 1/2 (folded here) = Card Base

Certainly Celery: 5 by 3 3/4

Apricot Appeal: 4 1/4 by 3 1/4 (left and right edge scallop  edge punched)

Basic Black: 4 1/8 by 2 5/8

Naturals White: 4 by 2 1/2

Image was stamped in black StazOn Ink. Then it was colored in with Aqua Painter and Crayons. It was layered onto black CS, then onto the scalloped piece. The piece of CS that measures 5 by 3 3/4 was texturized then layered onto card. Image layer was attached with dimensionals and glitter was added to flowers.

These two samples also show how easy it can be to make multiple cards by just reversing the colors and using a punch for the greeting…

I will try to make this a monthly feature, so check back next month to see another “Limited Supplies” entry.

Have a nice day!

  1. Well done. I love the soft colours of this time of year. You accomplished that in these cards. The daffodil is also my favouritie spring flower as it pokes its head above the ground as soon as the snow is gone - which is not yet.
    Thanks for sharing
