Butterflies & Flowers

It is never fun to make a sympathy card, but they are needed and this month alone I had to make 2. 

Here is the first one... it was for the loss of a beloved pet.

I don't have a big variety of stamps with me in the rental during our move, but had gotten the "Butterflie & Flowers" Layering Decorative masks before we left.  So I used those with the blending brushes. I quickly figured out that I had to do the coloring in a bouncing motion, not rubbing... but it worked pretty easily.

Dececmber Stamp-a-Stack, Card #2 (Very Versailles)

Here is our second card, which uses some heat embossing and sponging and splattering LOL...  looks artsy but was very easy!

December Stamp-a-Stack, Card #1 (Painted Poppies)

This month our cards are a little bit more artsy as we are sponging and splattering. The background on this card actually started out a black piece of cardstock and then we sponged whisper white craft ink in circular motion on it leaving some of the outside darker...

BTW - the stems of the flowers were created by cutting off the side leaves from the "branch" die-cuts leaving a skinny stem with one leaf on the top... added a small oval attached behind flowers
