I’ve been playing with the thought of trying to post more samples than I have. When I first started this blog, my goal was to post once a week. And I think I’ve fulfilled this most every month.
Now I want to step it up a little, but don’t want to let it stress myself out.. so I won’t commit to posting every day.
However I’ll try to incorporate some themes each week. And they are:
We have some with “fixed” days because they originate from other blogs/groups I am part of. Like these 2:
Monday - Techno Stamper Sketch Challenge
Friday - Blogger's Challenge
And these are my other ideas I want to use:
CASE (=copy and share everything) a sample
Color Challenge
Limited Supplies
Inspired by…
Those are sort of floaters, because I am not going to use them on certain days… I’ll pick depending on what I am in the mood for on a given day :-) Gotta be a little selfish here *grin*. You can see that I’ve selected 6 themes all together and not 7. I did this on purpose… to give myself a day off from posting and/or so I can share other things such as my technique class and SAS samples…
Anyway, these themes are going to have each their own category in my blog sidebar, so you can easily pull them up.
This week we already had the Monday Sketch Challenge (posted Tuesday, there goes my day off!). And today I am going to pick “CASE a sample”!
The sample I’ve CASE’d was my own, from the technique class… I wanted to use up some pre-cut cardstock. You can see the original here.
And this is my “copy”:
On this card I’ve used the awesome new embossing folder “Elegant Lines” on glossy white CS. It embosses so deep that I had to run it through with NO tab, just on the platform. Then I sponged Cajun Craze ink all over it. I just love how the raised pieces are much darker. I think this is because of the cracking of the gloss. The flower comes from the hostess level 2 set “Fast & Fabulous”… and then I need to point out the Pearl in the center. So easy to use!
So if you run out of ideas, pull out some cards you’ve done in the past, some you’ve received or the catalog and CASE away…
Have fun stamping!
