Blogger’s Challenge - Something Recycled

For this week’s Blogger’s Challenge, we were to use something recycled. I really wanted to use the foil pull-off-lid thingy from a fresh can of coffee. But just how it goes, I opened the can yesterday, put it aside and then threw it out later on. Grrr! So my mind was still stuck on coffee, especially since I did without for several days… My next choice for this challenge is a little cheating, because it was un-used. But hey, I am re-cycling after all, because I don’t use them in the kitchen anymore since I have a coffee maker with a mesh filter… So there, I gave it away! I’ve used coffee filters this week. I took a stack of 4-5 and ran them through the big shot with the Party Blossom die.

Then I sprayed the filter flowers with my oh so loved Shimmer Mist :-) and added classic ink from the re-inker bottle. Once dry, I stacked them up… added brads… voila!

Here is Card #1:

perfect Punches1

This card uses the new and gorgeous color “Cherry Cobbler” and “Wild Wasabi” with Early Espresso. See that striped button? Yup, it’s our wide striped ribbon used with one of those “make your own buttons” kits :-)

And because I wanted to be like Nikki, I made another card (love you girl!):

perfect Punches2

This little card uses the new color “Daffodil Delight”, even on the flower… just a little more concentrated! I love my bling, can you tell?! And new skinny ribbon is so easy to use…

The only stamp set used today, on both cards,  is “Perfect Punches”.

So you guys, think about what you can use in terms of recycling and crafting this weekend. Have fun and please share!
