Oh boy it’s been way too long since I’ve participated in MarJo’s Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge. I have no idea why I haven’t played along in such a long time, but will try to do this weekly again now!
Her Sketch was this:
I think maybe because she used “brown” as her background, my brain was tricked into wanting to use it too. So I pulled out my new “Early Espresso” CS. And then I thought, let me see what my new best friend the “Color Coach” tells me… And he said: “Use Marina Mist and Tangerine Tango with it!!” See that, TWO “!!”. Well I had to follow that :-)
Here is my card:
I still had a piece of brayered background on my desk, so I just embossed the dog onto it and stamped the greeting. I think tit works pretty well with it! Note the skinny ribbon through the button! It’s our Marina Mist 1/8” Taffeta Ribbon, pretty neat! The embossing folder used is called “Square Lattice”. And then I could not go without a little sparkle and decided to use the Smooch Spritz in Gold Glow on the Espresso CS.
This is a card that uses old (Dusty Durango Ribbon) and new just to show you that it can be done :-)
Have a great Monday and check out MaryJo’s blog to see what the other participants came up with…
love your brayer background, but what would go with a Yellow stamped dog? you know I must use Yellow for my lab buddy! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful Claudia! Love the background that you've created! Just darling! You did such a great job with Mary Jo's sketch!
ReplyDeleteHow fun, so many fabulous ideas going one here. I love that new ribbon in the buttons. Perfect! I also love your new blog design. Beautiful. Thanks for playing along this week. Hope all is well.
ReplyDeleteYes I love that little ribbon in the button...and besides flowers, I love dog projects!! Looks like you stamped on the CS before you embossed it too - ? Mary
