Each month I challenge my stamp club members to make one swap card – which will be put into a paper baggie and swapped out one by one. I usually give a guideline as to what color combo, sketch, or theme to use… For August I thought it would be a great exercise to CASE a card. I‘ve showed the ladies in prior meetings how I go about that when I see I a card and I want to copy it but don’t have all the components…
So I wanted them to have the same experience and dug up an OLD sample of mine. This was the card to copy:
I intentionally chose one with retired colors and stamps so we had to think a little more
I felt that it was such an easy challenge that for sure we’d have a great participation and so far I have not been let down! But I did promise those that committed by a certain date to really follow through… I would make a new version myself too and give one to each that signed up.
So without further ado, here is my card:
I used the colors of: Early Espresso, Blushing Bride and Regal Rose. Stamps used: Vintage Vogue, My Friend.
Some DSP flowers were cut with the “Blossom Party” die and a Button from the Neutrals Collection was added.
Very simple. I have to tell you that I had planned to use the opposite side of the brown DSP and only put the striped side down to put the glue on it and liked it so much more that I quickly changed my mind…
Can’t wait to see what cards the Tuesday and Thursday ladies will bring. No pressure ladies, but the Monday group really rocked their cards
Once I have them all, I will post them to the blog for voting as usual!
