… was the “theme” that I gave my stamp club members for their swap cards in March…
Here is what the dictionary says:
mon·o·chro·mat·ic/ˌmänəkrōˈmatik/
Adjective: Containing or using only one color or hue.
Since this was something some of my stamping friends had never heard of, I figured I’d give some more guidance.
I told them: You pick a color, let's say GREEN, then you can only use green inks, cardstock and embellishments for your creation and either use one or several shades of green. No other COLOR should be added.
-> You may use Neutrals such as white, vanilla, black or brown
-> If you want to use DSP, it can be from the same color pattern pack, or a sheet that does not have any other "distracting" color/print on it
-> If you use an image that needs coloring in... It can only be that same hue (i.e. green...) NO other colors..
Then yesterday, I wanted to post another card from leadership and came across the perfect sample for this:
This card was designed by fellow demo Jo Rauch. I only took the liberty to add the little flower stack on the right
Now you guys go and try your hand in a monochromatic card!
