Hi Guys – many of you might know that I am going to be away for a little over a week. (no worries Dogs and house sitter are in place!). I will be going on the incentive trip to Disney, Thanks to you all and Stampin’ Up! Followed with a short visit at Rob’s uncle and aunt.
While I am gone, I didn’t want the blog and you feel neglected, so I decided I would schedule several cards ahead of time. The posts will be short and if you have questions about some of the cards, please email me after the 7th of May so I can answer back.
Today I wanted to show you a very easy card that was part of the class held yesterday and today.
Here it is:
This is not an elaborate card by any means, but I wanted to point out the background.
I used the sheet of DSP that looks like chicken wire (from Beau Chateau) and then textured it with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder. After that I used a sanding block and roughed up the embossed texture, revealing the white paper. Here is a close up:
I think it’s so cool what neat backgrounds we can make ourselves. So go back through your stash of DSP and make some cool backgrounds too! Have a nice weekend and don’t forget to check back…I may just post travel updates too
