Grand Vacations Achievers Blog Hop - One for the guys

Welcome to the Grand Vacation Achievers Blog Hop for February. This month our theme is "One for the guys". We are sure you will find great inspiration from the projects that you are about to see.

If you are reading my blog in an email, please be sure to click over to my blog to see the hop list on the very bottom.

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Claudia Perry or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Claudia Perry.

For my project I knew I wanted to use "In the Meadows" because I just love the deer scene and I think it's perfect for guys... and then just the other day I got in my new "Starburst" Bundle and thought...let's see how I can combine those two... Here is what I came up with:

In case you are wondering how I did it:
I cut a mask with the sunburst thinlit from thicker scrap cardstock and place it over white cardstock and sponged in Tangelo Twist ink to create the sun rays. I then removed the masked and sponged the white rays in So Saffron. I wanted the center of the sun to be dark so I cut a circle out of scrap cardstock and used the negative (the square with a hole in it) and place over the previously sponged piece so that the rays were protected. Then I sponged the center...
The deer scene was stamped once directly over the rays and then another time onto scrap cardstock in black StazOn ink. This set I colored in using my blender pen and Soft Suede ink...

I hope you like it.

  3. Very cheerful. Not a stamp set I own, but it's well used here with the sunburst. Thanks for sharing x
