Guest Designer Series, #2 - Petal Palette

Welcome back to the 2nd day of  our Guest Desingers series. Today's gorgeous card is brought to you by Cathy Driver. Please be sure scroll down past the image because Cathy went all out and shares detailed instructions with us!

Instructions:
Use Whisper White as your card base and attach a layer of Blackberry Bliss.  Emboss the Old Olive layer with the Woodland embossing folder placing the cardstock for good placement of trees.  Stamp the branch in Old Olive and die cut with an oval framelit.  Use the branch from Petals and More Thinlits set to cut a branch from the copper sheet.  Stamp the bird and greeting on Whisper White scrap and cut using the thinlits.  The bird was colored in using an Aqua Painter and Crumb Cake ink. Stamp the flower in Blackberry Bliss and cut it with thinlits also.  Pop up the bird and greeting with dimensionals.  I popped up the flower too, but don't really recommend it.  I punched a very small circle using a hole punch for the center of the flower and attached it with a Glue dot.

Tips:
This card is very versatile.  You could use many different greetings.   You could also change the whole look by swapping out colors and the embossing folder.  What about trying the Layering Leaves folder on Crushed Curry with a layer of Early Espresso?  You could even make it a Christmas Card with Cherry Cobbler and Mossy Meadow, perhaps with the Garden Trellis folder.

Enjoy!
