Beautiful Day with Ornate Thanks

Yesterday I made a quick card for today's post as I knew I would not have much time during the day... Vet appointment in the am ... a little work at noon... and virtual stamp club at night... But I wanted to post so I worked in advance (which does not happen to often LOL)

Here is my card...

I wanted a nice/messy watercolor washed background and not color in the butterflies to make them still stand out... I did not want the watercolor wash run into my butterflies... so I used my Stamparatus and stamped one image in StazOn multiple times in the same spot for rich coverage and then stamped right over top in VersaMark and embossed in clear... I did that for all the butterflies...
Then I applied water in the areas around the butterflies and added Bermuda Bay ink wash and more water until I had the look I liked...
