... or should I say challenged? For the last several days I wanted to make the 5 pointed star that is pictured in the SU! catalog. I have tried everything from the pattern that is posted for us demonstrators (looks not right when printed), to follow the instructions I found on other websites. One that uses a staple, does not work for me at all. That is actually the one I think would look best (even though it has 6 points) and then the other directions show you how to fold and then cut. There is even a video posted for this one. But my problem with that is you'll waste a ton of paper. And I just can't justify that. My poor heart and mind need to rest. I really started to stress out over this.
So this is what I am doing. I am going to post an ornament that I've done last year. And maybe if either one of you can send me great instructions for that star, or I'll give it another try over the weekend, then I might post another ornament.
But for now - here you go:
Very cute...
ReplyDeleteDon't stress over it! Try it with some cheap scrapbook paper, then you don't feel bad if it doesn't work out right.

Very pretty Claudia! I've never tried the star, so I have no advice there. I'm glad you posted this ornament though. It is super cute!
ReplyDeleteDon't feel bad, I couldn't get my Barn Star to look right either...lol. I do love the one you made last year!
ReplyDeleteI like this ornament, especially the sparkly snow.
ReplyDeleteI tried the star, too, and FAILED! Should we challenge each other to make it work! Either way, I love the ornament to you did share!
ReplyDeleteI think you did great! I wont even attempt it if that makes you feel better! LOL!
