Kissing While Stamping…

HA, I bet this title got you attention :-)    LOL! Well today was my monthly “Try This Technique” class and the technique I featured this time is called “Kissing”.
This Technique has been around for a while and is so easy that some of us may have forgotten about it… BUT Stampin’ Up! highlighted that technique in the current Occasions Mini Catalog with the “Ă  la carte” stamps on pages 42-43. So I just though I should use that technique this month!
It’s SO easy. You ink up a bold stamps in a lighter color and a patterned stamp in a darker color and then press the stamps together. Then the bold stamp gets stamped onto CS and has the pattern right on the image!

See the dots on the butterfly? That’s the technique! The Butterfly is plain, but in the stamp set “For all you do” it already has a polka dot stamp included so you can do just that…

On this card, the “sanded” background stamp was used on the bold Leaf!
If you’ve been to my blog yesterday, then this layout might look very familiar to you ;-)   YES, I totally liked that sketch and actually made this card here first and then the card in yesterday’s post!
The polka dot DSP was again created in “My Digital Studio”, but this time with Kraft CS in the printer…

  1. I had a customer notice the feature of this technique in the catty and asked me how to do it, so I am using it as my monthly technique as well! ha ha

    Loved your card!
