Blogger’s Challenge: Black & White + 1 more

This week Lisa our group mom gave us the challenge to use the colors Black & White and one more color of our choice… I decided to use “Blushing Bride” as my other color.

I had to make one of those cards we never enjoy making… A sympathy card:

Ornate Blossom

A good friend just lost her mother and I wanted to send a calm and soothing card to express my sympathy…

The stamp I used is called “Ornate Blossom”. The card has several layers, but is otherwise kept very simple. It has some little shimmer, but I didn’t want anything overpowering.

  3. lovely card - did you use the color spritz tool for the delicate pink splashes on this? I think I need to get that tool.

  4. This is very appropriate. I like that it is feminine (for a loss of mother) and the pink goes great with black and white. The sponging of black around the edges and the layers of mat really make this simple image pop. How thoughtful of you to make such a special card for your friend as she mourns.....
