This week Lisa our group mom gave us the challenge to use the colors Black & White and one more color of our choice… I decided to use “Blushing Bride” as my other color.
I had to make one of those cards we never enjoy making… A sympathy card:
A good friend just lost her mother and I wanted to send a calm and soothing card to express my sympathy…
The stamp I used is called “Ornate Blossom”. The card has several layers, but is otherwise kept very simple. It has some little shimmer, but I didn’t want anything overpowering.
This is such a LOVELY sympathy card! So sorry to hear about your friend's loss.
ReplyDeleteBeatiful sympathy card, I'm sure your friend will feel the love in your card!
ReplyDeletelovely card - did you use the color spritz tool for the delicate pink splashes on this? I think I need to get that tool.
ReplyDeleteThis is very appropriate. I like that it is feminine (for a loss of mother) and the pink goes great with black and white. The sponging of black around the edges and the layers of mat really make this simple image pop. How thoughtful of you to make such a special card for your friend as she mourns.....
ReplyDeleteLovely!!! I used light pink too! :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice card. The soft pink color works perfectly for a Sympathy card. So sorry to hear your friend lost their mother.
