Yesterday evening I went and did my first EVER painting with a couple of my stamping friends. Debbie had told me about this place called “Sips and Strokes” and it not only sounded fun but they had a sunflower painting featured for that night, which I couldn’t resist. You can see the original here.
I was worried that I couldn’t do it because I am not lying when I say that I can’t paint. But Debbie said we all would be fine. So off we went to Opelika. We all had a great time and our paintings turned out pretty good, I think.
Here is mine:
The original painting had a red background and that just didn’t work for me… Because I wanted it for my kitchen which is painted in Brilliant Blue and Summer Sun So I asked if I could use a blue background and the teacher let me!
So today I was still feeling like playing with sunflowers and made a card to fit the mood:
Stamp sets used: “Build a Blossom” and “Petite Pairs”. And I had to use my new embossing folder “Stripes”.
