Today we had our "Try This Technique Sunday" Class... and it was one of those techniques that required rubber gloves OR very inky fingers :-)
The Technique is called "Ink, Spray & Smash" - and that's pretty much how you do it! You apply several drops of re-inker (2-3 different colors) onto glossy CS, spray with water, take another piece of glossy CS and spray it with water then you smash that piece onto the one with the inks on it... It gives you a nice marbled look! To me it looks a lot like "polished stone" but easier.
Here is the first card - The technique piece was stamped with the swirl stamp and punched out for the tree top:

I don't think it shows too well in the photograph, but the lighter flower is dimensional! The one petal on the right is popped up, and the center of the flower is paper pieced and popped up a little too. I just love how this card came out. I really like this new hostess set!
