Hawaii at last

Well we had one LONG travel day yesterday, but finally made it. And it’s awesome here!

See, our trip started out a little rocky. When we tried to check in at the Atlanta Airport, we were told they had bad news… We were supposed to fly from Atlanta to LA and then to Kona, Hawaii. The bad news was the flight from LA to Kona was cancelled due to mechanical difficulties. Yikes! After lot’s of checking and making phone calls, Delta was able to change our route. We went from Atlanta to Seattle to Hawaii. But little did we know that the last flight had to land on Maui to let some passengers off and to refuel. With that 1 1/2 hr stop our traveling was finally over after 24 hours. Whew! Since it was so dark and we were soooo tired, I didn’t get to take any photos on the way to the hotel….

This is us this morning:

The view from our hotel room balcony is awesome:

This morning we had a delicious breakfast with Stampin’ Up!  And then a general session with some great stamped samples and sneak peaks of upcoming items. Of course I can’t share any of that with you yet. But trust me when I say that you’ll love it all when they are available!

We went to get our rental car, had some great lunch in Kona

with Jeanette and her husband Gary and did a little shopping. Then back at the hotel Rob and I took a little walk:

Tomorrow we’ll go on a road trip and see if we can cover the whole island. Lot’s of places to stop and enjoy!

More from Hawaii later!
