Soooo I was working on class prep. all day long… typing instructions, printing… cutting CS, sorting… you get the idea… and I needed a FUN break.
That’s when I decided to follow a color challenge:
And because I had just gotten this new punch of mine in with the class supplies… I didn’t have to reach very far. It was a no brainer that I had to use him right away. Too cute to be put in a basket with the other punches.
So here is my take on the color challenge:
Oh I just like everything about this card (if I can say so myself)… I may not be able to give it away, or at least not for a WHILE! It makes me smile! I love playing with new toys :-)
I think don’t have to tell you what I’ve used, it’s so simple and easy to identify. But if you need help, please let me know!
I do want to point out something though that I haven’t seen online anywhere yet… The owl punch has a little heart shape on it. And all the times I’ve seen it use it was, well… as a heart… But I use it as a beak! I place it right underneath the eyes… maybe it’s just me, but I think it works perfect that way (and thought it was meant for that)!
As this Sunday comes to an end, try to get some rest in for next week…
I love your owl card & colors - and his beak is awesome...you are so clever! I gotta get this owl punch! Mary
ReplyDeleteLove this one! Colors, swirl, owl...all great!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I was just looking at our Owl wondering how you gave him a yellow beak, I had no idea it was the bottom of the heart. Thanks so much for the hot tip!! your card is adorable, love what you did with the colors.
ReplyDeleteVery cute Claudia! You really made this color combo work...I've used this too but I totally cheated and used the Build a Bear DSP...LOL
