Techno Stampers Sketch Challenge

O.K. can someone please tell me where the time goes these days?  It seems that Monday has come and gone and I didn’t get to play along at MaryJo's Sketch Challenge.

But like so often, I am referring back to my favorite motto “Better late than never” and quickly post before Monday rolls around again in just 2 days…

Here is her sketch:

TSSC164

And here is what I came up with today:

butterfly bliss

This card uses TWO chopped up wheels! The Butterfly Bliss is my newest one, and I tell you I really like using the wheels as stamps (see this post for the video on how to un-mount a wheel).

Supplies

Stamps: Thoughtful Friend (wheel gone stamp), Butterfly Bliss (wheel gone stamp)

Paper: Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Peach Parfait

Ink:Rich Razzleberry, Peach Parfait, Basic Black

Accessories: Buttons, Hemp, Dimensionals

Tools: Fun Flowers die, Top Note Die, Square Lattice Embossing Folder

You might wonder just how I picked those colors together. Well I used my trusty Color Coach (sort of). Here is the story… Last night at my downline meeting I cut a top note shape frame for a template and had the top note shape still on the table. So I started to plan around it. And since it was in Rich Razzleberry, I checked with my Color Coach and he told me to use Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie. I thought I was in complete luck because I had those flowers already cut and next to my keyboard. Well it’s a little darker over here, so I thought they were Pumpkin Pie. Once I had my card together I realized they were Peach Parfait, which is just a little lighter. I think it works pretty well. What do you think?

  1. This is fabulous. Love that you used that builder wheel, don't see that much. Beautiful flower too. Thanks so much for playing along with my sketch challenge this week!
