Grand Vacations Achievers Blog Hop - Remember to Give Thanks

Welcome to the Grand Vacation Achievers Blog Hop for September. The theme for the hop this month is Remember to Give Thanks.

You may be starting from here at my blog, (Claudia Perry) or may have come here from the previous person to me on the list. Please be sure to click the person after me to move along the blog hop. If you get off track at any time, the full line up below will help you move along from blog to blog. If you are reading my updates via email, please click over to my blog so you can see all the pictures and the hop list...

The card that I made for this blog hop, proved itself to be a little difficult to photograph..

Just a few pointers:
- The greeting was stamped in VersaMark ink and heat embossed in gold. That's what makes it so hard to get a decent photo

- I made a cardstock "stencil" and sponged the one leaf in Cajun Craze ink onto Cajun Craze CS to add some subtle background...

- The Delightful Dijon CS was textured with the Woodgrain texture folder and then I brayered Early Espresso ink over it without applying too much pressure

- I stamped the acorn 2x. Once in Early Espresso and once in Delightful Dijon, cut out and then paper pieced together the top and the bottom with a dimensional in between

- the large leaf was die cut, then spritzed with rubbing alcohol and crinkled up into a tiny ball, then carefully opened back up and let dry... but not flattened so it would have wrinkles

- lots of sponging and distressing on that card... 'cause I love to do that ;-)

Here is a closer look so you can make out the greeting and the details:

I hope you've enjoyed my contribution... Thanks for stopping in and for taking part in our blog hop. With so many amazing ideas and inspiration you want want to miss one!
