I am going to share a fall card with you because I am still trying to hold out with Christmas projects... I just don't like to skip over seasons

I had so much fun creating the background for this card. I used the thinlits to emboss with our texture mats. And who could resist that pretty glimmer paper... here is a close up so you can see the copper splattering better

I used the copper shimmer paint (diluted) and a brush to do that and also sponged some on the punched out twigs. I'm so happy those paints are back!

August Alaska Achievers Blog Hop

Last month I skipped this blog hop because I was still gone on the Alaska Trip and extended a few days to stay in Seattle. We had a wonderful time and came home with great memories and nice gifts from Stampin' Up!... from the upcoming Holiday Catalog!

I decided to play with the "Blizzard" Thinlit die because I just love snowflakes.

The first card (yes... I made several!) showcases the snowflakes embossed. I did that using our embossing mats for the BigShot. OMG - so easy and pretty!

I've also used our returning Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint mixed with Rubbing Alcohol and spritzed over the background... here is a closer view of the shimmer:

For the next card, I cut out the Snowflakes using the die and precision plate...

The medium snowflake was sponged in Shaded Spruce ink...

And the last card I used cardstock that was left from cutting out the snowflakes:

Oh... by the way... the Pearl was colored with our new BLACK Stampin' Blend marker... also from the Holiday catalog

I hope these samples give you a little idea on just how much you can do with this wonderful thinlit... Don't forget you can sponge... make a mask and use our paste... and the list goes on!

I absolutely LOVE the new "Subtle" embossing folder and wanted to really point it out because you might just overlook it in the catalog. It's a GEM! It makes it easy to give your card texture without taking away from a detailed image or the layout... BTW the pretty polka dot ribbon was dyed with a little of re-inker and rubbing alcohol... also a must have in my book!

Here is my creation:

I just love the Sale-a-Bration Specialty DSP called "Springtime Foils"! And this time I colored in just one flower using my Stampin' Blends and cut it out... BTW I created a brighter green by coloring first in light Old Olive and then in light Bermuda Bay...

I also used the Blends on the ribbon... did you notice that? I used the dark Rich Razzleberry one and very gently bulled the brush tip over the white ribbon to custom dye it ;-)

Here is my creation:

I used the oh so wonderful Basket Weave Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing folder to make .... a PIE!
I first die-cut the circle and then textured it... after that I lightly sponged Soft Suede Ink over the raised texture. 

And the "table cloth" was created with the stitched shapes squares for a quilted look, sort of...
