Santa's Sleigh is in sight already

I decided this year again I will make at least one Christmas Card a week for my personal stash.  So let me show you my first one.

Starting with the next design, I plan on making 2 or 4 of the same to build up my inventory!

Weekly Christmas Card Promise #11

Today I actually sat out to CASE a card for my weekly Christmas card promise and then ended up doing something completely different.

But I do like how my card turned out, and part of what I started on, I can use next week...so that's a plus!

After I finish the cards from today, I will have a total of 60 cards ;-)

Weekly Christmas Card Promise #10

WOW - this is my 10th week of making AND posting Christmas cards. That means we are getting much closer to Christmas and YOU should start making some cards too!

The card I am posting today is one that could be done in "mass-production" fairly easy!

It's a clean, modern looking card with a special embellishment in the center! I've used one of the "Winter Wonderland Embellishments". They are gorgeous! See:

And the 4 cards from today will bring my count of Christmas cards up to 56!

Weekly Christmas Card Promise #9

OK please consider yourself warned! Today's card is NOT in any way a traditional Christmas card. I totally stepped out of my comfort zone and I mean WAY OUT!!!!   I saw a sample in these colors on Pinterest and ran with it so blame them if it's to bright for you.. Are you ready? Here we go:

And because of the colors and details of the ornament it was very hard to get a decent photo. Sorry about that. Here is a close up so you can see the details in the background better

And after I complete the other 3 cards, I will have a total of 52 Christmas card in my stash! You will have to take my word on it for now because I have to run out right now... but just to show you that I have it started and mainly just need to poke all the little piece out of the ornaments...here is my proof

Weekly Christmas Card Promise #8

Today I was in the mood to use Crumbcake for my weekly Christmas Card and went with it... I just didn't remember that last week I also used it as my card base. BUT this week is a different look because I added Real Red and Early Espresso in! See:

A little tip for the solid "Watercolor Wash" background stamp.. to get a real smooth ink coverage, I use a brayer and roll the ink onto the stamp. This way you don't get any lines from the inkpad!

Did you see the "buckle" on the right... Yes, I made it with our new and cool "Curvy Corner Trio Punch". Love that gadget!

My Christmas card inventory is now at 48 cards!    ;-)

Weekly Christmas Card Promise #7

It seems like I just posted Christmas cards yesterday... But no, it was several days ago and I was a little late last week... And this week I am on track! That's why it feels so close together

Here is my Christmas card for this week:

I was inspired by the sample in the Occations catalog on page 12 and made it mine...

I colored the Pearls with Blendabilities to give it a little color pop...don't forget that if you don't have those markers, you can do that with sharpie pens (while pearls are still on the wax sheet).

And after adding this set of 4 cards to my stash, I will have 44!

Weekly Christmas Card Promise #6

I know I am a couple of days later than usual with posting my weekly Christmas Cards. But Saturday I posted the class pictures, Sunday the swap cards and then yesterday I forgot that I had a plan and posted the baby card... so before time gets away even more...today is the day!

Here is my Christmas card for:

I inked up the tree scenery in VersaMark first then inked it up in Night of Navy and stamped on whisper white CS, then sprinkled Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder over it and heat embossed... not sure that you can see it, so here is a close up:

And just in case you are wondering about the color of my ribbon... it is the white organza ribbon dyed with Night of Navy ink, YES, not Wisteria Wonder... however, it dried so light that it looks purple, so I decided to embrace it and added a layer of Wisteria Wonder... sometimes things work in strange ways... I like it!

After adding the 4 cards from today, my stash grew to 40 cards!

Weekly Christmas Card Promise #5

It's Saturday and that means... time to make more Christmas Cards!

I got side tracked this afternoon with office work... YUCK! So I had to make a somewhat fast card to be able to post to my blog TODAY and not tomorrow. Can't have that...

So without further delay... here is the simple beauty:

You may remember from a previous post that the champagne glimmer paper was retired and I used it that day since I forgot about it. Well you might think so why are you using it "again" today? I tell you why!  ;-)   I only had a partial sheet left and was determined to use it up so I would just get over it being gone and not miss it anymore... But of course in it's place you could simply use the gold or silver glimmer paper on this card... I think either would work.

I cut a solid ornament from whisper white CS to put under the glimmer ornament, so that the Early Espresso textured layer would not show through. It makes the ornament stand out a little more.

I am going to assemble the other 3 cards tomorrow morning to make my complete set of 4 this week, and that will bring my count of Christmas cards up to 36!

Weekly Christmas Card Promise #4

It's weekend and that means, it's time to follow through with my weekly Christmas Card promise. I sure hope you are not getting tired of my white cards... 'cause here is another one for you!

Tip:
To get the grout colored, I brayered Tip Top Taupe ink over the raised texture of the inside of the embossing folder (it's the side with the label on it). I did it carefully so I would not get any ink on the bricks. I am happy with the outcome!

So I was designing away with this card and finished it and then started on my supply list and guess what...the glimmer paper that I used, my favorite one... champagne was retired and I forgot about it or was in denial... either way, since these are my personal Christmas Cards, I left them alone but thought I'd point that out to ... so you are not sad if you can;t order it. BUT you could use the gold glimmer paper just as well!

And here is of course the proof that I did make 4 cards again this week:

And this will make my count of cards go up to 16! No, wait a minute... Actually, several more... because I made more of last month's Stamp-a-Stack cards to add to my stash and now have a proud total of 32 cards!

Weekly Christmas Card Promise #2

Just as promised, I am back this week with the next installment of Christmas Cards! BUT, I've used the same stamp set as last week, because it went with what I wanted to do and I just really like that set! At any rate, that should give those of you who own that set some more ideas...

So this is card I came up with using a Project Life card. (Oh and BTW, the patterned tree is heat embossed on this card...)

I really, really like the black and white look - But as you may know, there is not a second one of the exact same pattern card in the box... and that presented a little problem for me as I wanted to make my set of 4 as promised last week. So I went through the box and found some more cards that I thought would work here.

Here you go:

On the card above, I just put the star on the other tree...

Now we are going on to other colors:

The last one, might be my favorite in a non-traditional color... Bermuda Bay.

And this will make my count of cards go up to 8! YAY

Weekly Christmas Card Promise #1

Soooo, I know you might now want to hear about this, but fact is... Christmas is getting closer and closer!   And in my effort to be more prepared on the card making AND sending front, I am going to make 1 Christmas card layout each week resulting in at least 4 cards right then. I am planning on posting them each Saturday... in case you want to pull out your Christmas stamps and play along on the weekend... during the month I have my Christmas Stamp-a-Stack, I think I may skip that post so I won't "christmas you out" early.

Here is my first contribution in this series:

This card was inspired by a card I found on Pinterest and I slightly changed it to make it mine. The original creator used a retired snowflake stamp set in the background, since I didn't want to do that, I chose to use my trusty mask and did some sponging.

Not sure if you can see the tiny pearl on the tree topper star...so here is a close-up:

And just to prove that I really made my 4 cards as announced, here is the group shot:

I have to say those cards came together pretty fast and if I run into time shortage in November, I may go back and make some more of those!

Who else is going to join me this weekend? Post to my Facebook Page if you do...let's have fun!

So as of today, I have 4 cards in my stash!
