Guest Designer Series, #3 - Coffee Café

And today for our Guest Designer series, we are in for a treat... literally! Joy from my Tuesday stamp club created a coffee themed mini scrap book  - how neat!

She made the scrapbook by using the cardboard backing we get in our DSP packs as the substrate.  She folded it into a mini book to create a little Starbucks journey book.  And now it’s ready for her to journal her adventures at Starbucks

Look at a ll the details on those pages!!! It sure looks like fun! And while Joy was concerned that she used "retired" Designer Series Paper on this project, I think it's a great because it shows us to put that paper to use that we so lovingly "stash". But really and truly, any one of our papers could be used for projects like this... great inspiration!

Greeting Card gone Scrapbook Page

Well you see for one of my club projects this month I made a masculine card using the set Moon Lake. One of my hostesses is really big into scrapbooking, so I figured I'd change it up a bit for her and make the finished card into a page. I simple left off the greeting.

I know it's not the best picture, but I totally forgot to take one, so we have to make do LOL. I think you get the idea though.

I've added some diagonal score lines in the top corners of the 12 by 12 page to add some interest but not have it over power. The Island Indigo square is 8 1/2 by 8 1/2. The Crumb Cake square is 8 by 8. And the Early Espresso "photo/journaling place holders" are 3 1/5 by 5 each. Then the card front was added...

Here is a closer look:

I used black StazOn ink to stamp the image on the oval, which is watercolor paper. Then I used the ink from ink pad lids and Aqua Painter to color it in...

Scrapbook Page

I know, I know … I haven’t posted anything scrapbook related in a while. But I have a sample for you today.

Joy who is also a stamp club member of the Tuesday group is hosting a challenge over at Soul Scrappers. I had joined this group to participate in challenges and to get inspired for my personal scrapbooking. So I thought, I’d better jump in, support Joy and get crafty… well only in “My Digital Studio” of course… hehehee.

Joy’s challenge was a “Negative Sketch Challenge” and the template looked like this":

And this is what I made mine into:

little helper

Annie is such a sweet dog and she always has to touch someone. So lots of times when I work in the craft room making class kits, she’ll put her head on my leg… it warms my heart!

I can’t wait to see what Joy’s next challenge is going to be!
