Artistic (Die-cut)

I had ordered the "Artistic" Die by itself... not sure why I didn't get the bundle. Well, I may have to add the stamp set at some point.

Sadly, my husband's boss lost her father and we were in need for a sympathy card. I wanted something very subtle and came up with this card:

I used retired DSP under the die-cut pieced in layer. I think that would be another great way to use up some papers...that are not as busy

Oh and I "had to cut the die-cut layer 2x because I forgot to use a brand-new clear plate to avoid the cut marks on the white CS.... So since I now had 2 of the florar die-cut shapes, I put a partial piece on the inside.

The greetings came from 2 different stamp sets that are retired...

Floating & Fluttering

Well one can never have too many Butterflies... So of course I got the new "Floating & Fluttering" bundle. And while it was not a pleasant reason to play with it, I still like the card. Sadly I needed 2 that same week!

Friends are like Seashells

It's been a while since I have posted last. I have to admit I had lost my mojo a little and I am working on implementing new rules with my stamp clubs that will allow me to concentrate on creativity again and not so much on "house keeping"  and therefore find joy in the "job" again... 

We have some oh so wonderful products in the new catalog and the first one that I wanted to show off is the "Friends are Seashells" bundle.

At club on Saturday we talked about how this set/bundle could be used for sympathy cards as well. And sadly I do need one. It's been one of those situations that I just couldn't bring myself to sit down and make the card. But I have put it off long enough and need to mail it out...

Positive Thoughts

Here is a quick card that uses some of our latest coordination items.... the  "Nature's Thoughts" dies along with the Positive Thoughts stamp set.

BTW - I used the dark Highland Heather Stampin' Blends marker to splatter the background by tapping the open marker against another pen...
