June Alaska Achievers Blog Hop

Welcome to the monthly Blog Hop for the Alaska Incentive trip achievers! This month we are going to showcase samples from the new catalog....

If you are reading my blog in an email, please be sure to click over to my blog to see all of the samples and the hop list underneath...

Here is my creation:

I absolutely LOVE the new "Subtle" embossing folder and wanted to really point it out because you might just overlook it in the catalog. It's a GEM! It makes it easy to give your card texture without taking away from a detailed image or the layout... BTW the pretty polka dot ribbon was dyed with a little of re-inker and rubbing alcohol... also a must have in my book!

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Claudia Perry or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Claudia Perry.

First Alaska Achievers Blog Hop

Welcome to the Alaska Achievers Blog Hop for October 2017. This month is the first month of the  blog hop and our theme this month is "do what you like". This gives us total freedom in creating and I am sure we will have tons of fantastic projects!

If you are reading my blog in an email, please be sure to click over to my blog to see all of the samples and the hop list underneath...

I decided to show off our cute mini pizza boxes!

They are so easy to work with! They come flat and you just have to fold on the list and tuck taps into little spots for them and ta dah... done  Of course I would recommend that you'd stamp or texture like I did before you assemble.

I used the new and awesome large snowflake ("Winter Wonder") embossing folder to texture the lid of the box and then sponged ink over it

And also the sides of the box...

And then created some darling little 3 by 3 cards to fit inside

Thailand Achievers Blog Hop - Holiday Catalog Favorites

Welcome to the Thailand Incentive Trip Achievers Blog Hop for August 2017. This month is the last month of the Thailand Achievers blog hop but I can happily announce that I will be part of the future Alaska Achievers Blog hops too as I've earned it last month, Yay! Our theme this month is the "Holiday Catalog Favorites". There are so MANY amazing products in this catalog that we want to make sure you'll get to see plenty samples to get great ideas for your crafting..

If you are reading my blog in an email, please be sure to click over to my blog to see all of the samples and the hop list underneath...

I am still absolutely in love with the "Painted Harvest" stamp set and came across a neat idea that is called "3D Eclipse". I needed several birthday cards recently and decided to use the technique and stamp set on them but in different colors...

The first one... more traditional.. in sunflower colors. I used Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie:

Then a little brighter... I used Flirty Flamingo and Berry Burst

And lastly, toned down again... I used Sugar Plum and Fresh Fig

How to:

  • The sentiment was stamped first, then the rest of the flowers, leafs and dots
  • The Large Letters thinlits were used to die-cut the name from the stamped layer. Inside pieces of letters are needed too and kept
  • The name was die-cut another time from black CS
  • Stamped layer was added to colored layer and then attached to card
  • Black die-cut letters were glued into letter openings using liquid glue. Then the white/stamped inside letter pieces were added into the black letters
  • Stamped die-cut letters were added over the black letters with adhesive foam strips

You should give it a try! It's much easier than it may seem and you will get stunning results! I'll be showing another card tomorrow that uses a retired stamp set to show you it doesn't have to be flowers...

Thailand Achievers Blog Hop - Holiday Catalog Sneak Peek

Welcome to the Thailand Incentive Trip Achievers Blog Hop for August 2017. This month our theme is the"Holiday Catalog Sneak Peeks". The amazing Holiday catalog is here and we want to show you how you can use these awesome new products to let your family and loved ones know that you are thinking of them!

If you are reading my blog in an email, please be sure to click over to my blog to see the sample and the hop list underneath...

Some of you may know that I simply LOVE sunflowers, so it should be no surprise that I had to have this gorgeous stamp set called " Painted Harvest"... and I couldn't wait to play with it...Here is my creationfor today's blog hop:

When I started with this card, the stamped background was nice but flat... and I had this vision that one flower needed to be dimensional... so I thought of stamping another on white cardstock, cut out and crumble, but thought it might be to stiff. So I opted to stamp it on typing paper, cut out and spritzed with rubbing alcohol on the back side then scrunched up and opened back up...then used heat tool to set it. I adhered the center to the previously stamped flower with liquid glue and then used mini dimensionals to keep the petals from going flat...

I like how it turned out and hope you do too. I wanted to play with something more in the season before we get into Fall and Winter since it's so hot here in Georgia these days.

Thailand Achievers Blog Hop - Annual Catalogue Sneak Peek

Welcome to the Thailand Incentive Trip Achievers Blog Hop for may 2017. This month our theme "2017/2018 Annual Catalog Sneak Peek". We want to show you some of the AMAZING products that are available for demonstrators to order right now! So if you join you are able to get your hands on this new product early. You are going to love this new Annual Catalog.

If you are reading my blog in an email, please be sure to click over to my blog to see the sample and the hop list underneath...

Here is my contribution for today's blog hop:

I've used the new hostess stamp set "Tranquil Tulips" and  all of the new in-colors:

Here is a closer look  at the tulips... I've popped up the top layer!

Oh and that frame was made from ONE piece of 12x12 CARDSTOCK! My demonstrator friend Kerstin Kreis (from Germany) showed how to make the frame on Facebook the other day and I couldn't resist to make one too! Thanks Kerstin for the great video (I of course used inches for measurements not centimeters)

To start you'll score each side of the cardstock at  3/4  +  1 1/2  +  2 1/4  +  3
then you cut the outer corners off, so it will look like this:

(If you need info in cm... it's every 2cm, also the marking below)

Then you'll mark 3/4 in on the 2nd panel on left and right side on 2 opposing sides, now mark and cut out areas as pictured below (click on photo to enlarge)

Then start rolling the sides in that have the mitered cuts:

Then roll the sides in that are straight, and tuck them right into the mitered corners!

I am sorry this was a bit lengthy, but I thought some of you might want to make a frame yourself ...

OK...back to our hop.... You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Claudia Perry or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. Here is my contribution for today's blog hop:

I was able to pre-order the "Eastern Palace" Bundle and thought I'd show a sample that is not really what you'd expect from the name of the bundle...

I made a sunflower laser cut card...

Here is a side view to show how the petals pop up:

And here you can see the detailed stamp I used in-between the petals.. Greeting and circle stamp is part of the bundle as well!

This bundle will have lots and lots of variations

Thailand Achievers Blog Hop - NEW Sale-a-Bration items

Welcome to the Thailand Incentive Trip Achievers Blog Hop for February 2017. This month our theme is the "Sale-a-Bration". We want to show you some more ways to make the most of your Sale-a-Bration items. And did you know that some more NEW items have been added to the Sale-a-Bration offerings which are available to be earned starting today! You can look at them here!

If you are reading my blog in an email, please be sure to click over to my blog to see the sample and the hop list underneath...

Here is my contribution for today's blog hop:

The first item I would like to point out is the oh so gorgeous Glimmer Paper used under the dragonfly. It comes in an assorted pack of 12 sheets... (4 sheets each in Bermuda Bay, Mint Macaron, Sweet Sugarplum) It's hard to photograph, so I took another close up and hope you can see it a little better:

And the other new Sale-a-Bration item I used is the stamp set called "Reverse Words". It gives you an instant "resist technique" look. Very fun and easy.

I've also for the first time used a Sale-a-Bration Stamp Set called "Delicate Details" and LOVE it... I really don't know why I've waited this long to use the pretty lace stamp.

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don't want to miss. Remember that currently you are at my blog - Claudia Perry, so check the blog hop line up list below to see who is next in the list.

Thailand Achievers Blog Hop - Sale-a-Bration

Welcome to the Thailand Incentive Trip Achievers Blog Hop for January 2017. This month our theme is the "Sale-a-Bration". We want to show you some more ways to make the most of your Sale-a-Bration items. Have you collected some of them yet?

If you are reading my blog in an email, please be sure to click over to my blog to see the sample and the hop list underneath...

I chose to show you a sample that uses the Avant Garden set, because that's a newer to me set and I wanted to play with it. I knew I wanted to do the "Rock and Roll" Technique to some of the blossoms.. Little refresher... You ink up your stamp in the lighter color first and then roll the outer edges of the inked up stamp over a darker color...

Oh and I am not sure that you can see how shimmery the popped up blossoms are from the clear wink of Stella... so I took a close up picture for you. Here you should also be able to see that I applied the gold wink of Stella over the stamen of the blossoms that were not popped up:
