Springtime Impressions... sponged

How about a NO layer card today? Yep, that's exactly what I did...just one piece of thick white cardstock folded in half, no other layers! It is possible

Here is a closer look at the sparkly embossing paste... it's so pretty in real!

Oh and in case you're wondering how  I did the pattern in the left corner.... I die-cut the shape from a piece of filing plastic divider, see:

I then placed it on my white card and sponged over it in Gray Granite... so easy!

Home to Roost and Silver Embossing Paste

Besides introducing the embossing pastes in a very obvious and basic way today I jumped right in and did something you might not think of when working with them at first.

I used the silver embossing paste and STAMPED with it... since we don't have a current silver ink pad...this will work nicely!

To be able to do that, I simply smeared some of the paste onto a baby wipe and used it as an inkpad. I made sure it was a fairly thin layer

Then I used that baby wipe and sponged around the edges... a bit messy but nso much fun!
