October Stamp and Sip Cards

Last month for our Stamp and Sip online crafting we did a fun "technique" that makes 4 cards pretty fast!

You really just need a piece of white (or vanilla) CS, stamps and ink. You then stamp your images in a "cross pattern" in the center of the white/vanilla CS. I forgot to take a picture before cutting the page apart.  But this shows the stamped pattern well

And here you can see the cards in their correct orientation

Tip:

Even though I started out with a full 8 1/2 by 11 sheet, stamped it and then cut it down, I think it would be easier to  start with a sheet that measures 10 by 7 1/2, stamp and then cut apart. That way you don't' loose any of your pattern!

Meadow Moments in Magenta Madness

Today I wanted to focus on our new in-color "Magenta Madness"... and ended up sneaking another new color in... "Bumblebee"... since they seem to work so well together...

This is a very simple card and you could make several in no time... and now use up all of your DSP...

Fast Cards with Designer Series Paper (Zoom Meeting)

I held our online Zoom craft meeting and had given my ladies this list so they could be ready to make 2 cards very fast.  Needed items:

• Paper Trimmer
• 2 pieces of DSP in 4x6 (can be the same or different pattern, each will be used on sep. card)
• 2 pieces of black or dark contrasting CS that will coordinate with your DSP in 4 1/4 by 11 (scored at 5 1/2)
• 2 pieces of white CS in 4 by 5 1/4
• Sentiment Stamp and black ink plus white and black or dark contrasting CS scraps
Layering Punches/framelits for the Sentiment
Embellishments such as rhinestones...ribbon etc

All that needed to be done then was:

- Open the card, place into trimmer horizontally and cut at 3 1/4 and keep the cut off piece! Do on 2nd card too.

- Take DSP piece place into trimmer horizontally and cut at 3 and again at 2... that leaves you with another piece that is 1 inch wide. Now you have 3 pieces that are 3 by 4, 2 by 4 and 1 by 4

- The 2 by 4 piece gets adhered to the skinny front flap of the card

- The 1 by 4 piece gets adhered to the 5 1/4 by 4 piece of white CS and added to inside of card

- The 3 by 4 piece gets adhered to the piece we previously cut off the card front. It was then turned side ways and adhered to the front flap, making sure to add adhesive only to the outer edge of that layer so you don't glue the card shut

- Add greetings and embellishments as desired.

Puzzle Pieces

It is a shame that I've had the "Puzzle Pieces" dies for quite a long time and today was the first time I've used them.... just in time to see them retire... This set may just go into my keep stash!

Here is my easy card:

Very minimal stamping today... just the greeting and the bit of the poppies on the white puzzle piece.

Tip: I've adhered small pieces of DSP to scrap white CS prior to die-cutting the puzzle pieces... this way they have a little more dimension ....

Ornate Style... splatters

Today I wanted to make a quick card... no coloring in images etc... But wanted to use the detailed image from the Ornate Style stamp set....

Here is my card:

I heat embossed the image in black first... then brayered over it in Balmy Breeze 3/4 of the way, then over top of that but not as far down I used Blueberry Bushel... the bottom portion is Call me Clover.
Immediately after that I splattered some water all over it... I guess I must have used this Aqua Painter in the past with bleach because it still bleached LOL ... so then I used the same brush and went over some of the leaves

The black Stampin' Blends Marker was used on the center of some of the flowers because I didn't want the rhinestones make it to busy...
