Guest Designer Series, part1

Today is the first day of our guest designer series and Gwen share some great projects with us! This is what she wanted us to know:

This is a sampler and tile set I made for a church charity auction.  Picture frame was purchased with a distressed look, but you could easily DIY to match your paper colors.  The tiles were purchased from a local home improvement center.   My theme was of course the beach, but the sky’s the limit when it comes to choices in stamp sets, inks, and papers.  Hope you have a great time creating your own little piece of paradise!

And a close up of the frame:

Botanical Butterfly and Dear Doily

Today I made some little gifts for my Monday night stamp club ladies as we are starting over with a new round of club. This is my little Thank you to them for being a club member....

It's a clear 4 by 6 photo frame (that stands up)

I made a variety of colors

And in case you were wondering where the butterflies came from.... look:

The punch works pretty well with the Designer Series Paper that you can earn for free during Sale-a-Bration...

And this is what it looks like with a photo in it

Merry Christmas - Wreath

Now that I have given this little gift to it's recipient, I am able to post it here too. Didn't want to spoil a surprise...

I knew that my friend really like that wreath (which was part of another card, shown and explained here)... so I decided to make her a little piece of home decor that she could display every year.. I added lots of pearls to this one to make it extra festive!

The natural wood frame was sponged with the frost white shimmer paint to give it an iridescent shimmer. Once dry I added the die-cut sentiment which was backed with the adhesive sheet prior to cutting... It sticks very well!

Winter Page Sampler

Today is the first class of the Winter Page sampler and I thought I should show it off here too...

I think it turned out pretty nice and looks even better in real! And of course I wanted to remind you all again if you want to take a class like this in the future don't just think home decor! You can make the little pieces (card candy!) into cards if you don't want to display the page...

Like this simple card:

In case you can't see the background... here is a close-up:

soooo soft and subtle!

Be sure to check back tomorrow as I will post the 3 cards the ladies got to make in addition to the page... They are pretty awesome if I can say so myself ;-)

Share What You Love, Crafty Sampler Page

I have to brag on a friend of mine, the talented Marcia G. She is a Stampin' Up! demonstrator as well and we first met on the Mediterranean incentive trip in 2016 and became instantly friends!

She holds classes with her ladies where they make these beautiful page samplers. And she  was so sweet to send me the "Share what you Love Crafty Sampler" as a gift.

It was such a nice surprise - all I had to do was adding it to a 12 by 12 piece of Designer Series Paper! I then put it up on the wall over my computer so I can see it when I work there.

Witching

This morning I got together with a couple of ladies and we made the witches hat. It is soooooo cool and not hard to make!

See... it turned out just like in the catalog:

And the nice thing...EVERYTHING is pre-cut for you... yay... All we had to do is assemble, stamp and decorate. I will post the video from Stampin' Up on the very bottom later... We had tons of supplies left over and made 2 Halloween cards:

Please keep in mind that I've use more inks than required so we all didn't use the same ink for each step and didn't have wait on one another..

Here are the ladies hard at work, sponging a gazillion of leaves ;-)
