Sunday we had lots of fun with another messy technique. But hey, what is soap and water for if not for getting ink off of your hands?

Here are the samples – #1:

Cards in a Jar

While at leadership we got one more idea sheet for a cute project that used a mason jar that had cards in it.

I came up with a modified version of that and held a class not so long ago!

The jar has 5 cards and 5 matching envelopes in it:

Cards in a Jar

This class featured the “Blossom Builders Kit”, “Twitterpated DSP” and the stamp set “Petite Pairs”.

If you missed out on this class, you can still order the supplies from me or via my store.

Item # Description
125572 Baker's Twine - Lucky Limeade (or other color)
119747 Buttons, Designer – Brights (or other color group)
125410 Designer Printed Kit - Blossom Builders
125406 Designer Series Paper, Twitterpated

If you order these items together, I will get the class handout as electronic document to you. It shows a picture of each card and has tips as well as a template on how to make the envelopes. This way you can work on your own… It’s truly EASY and a great gif idea!

Class attendees also received the stamp set “Petite Pairs” and a piece of Ribbon in white grosgrain for lid,  and punched some extra flowers with the, Blossoms Punch, Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch… Cardstock in Riding Hood Red, Basic Gray, Baja Breeze, Island Indigo and Pear Pizzazz was used to make the cards. So keep that in mind when ordering. If you don’t have those items on hand, you may need to add them. You would use our own black or brown ink and greetings of your choice…

Let me know if you are interested in this, and don’t forget you could still qualify for FREE Sale-a-Bration items…

GESSO techniques are FUN

As promised I am back with the technique class samples for February!
I called the technique “Gesso Re-Inker Wash” because I made it up after I saw something similar using other supplies and thought I can do that my way!

Here is card #1:

the open sea_gesso

LOVE the background!!!!

And here is card #2:

inspired by nature_gesso

Now this technique is pretty messy and if you don’t want colored fingers, you may have to use rubber gloves. It’s A LOT of fun and the backgrounds are GORGEOUS!

If you were not able to come to the class, you can still purchase the online tutorial for $5 (if paying cash or check… $6 if using PayPal).

Today I am going to share the photos of last month’s technique class… and tomorrow I will post February’s cards.
Here is card #1:
perfect punches_tech
And here is card #2:
plant hope_chalk tech

The Technique we used on both cards this month is called “Chalk Emboss”.
It’s so much fun, though a little messy Smile But makes striking backgrounds for sure!

If you were not able to come to the class, you can still purchase the online tutorial for $5 (if paying cash or check… $6 if using PayPal).

The Tutorial will be ready this evening! Just send me an email so we can make arrangements…
