Very manly Birthday Card

Today I reached for my small stack of paint inspiration cards from Wally World and pulled out one that's my favorite... one with rocks on it.

I didn't do too much to it because I wanted to keep the focus on the rocks... here is my quick creation:

Tip
I used black StazOn ink to stamp on the vellum cardstock and also the inspiration card as they are both not going to absorb the ink... and in situations like this you might want to use your heat tool to heat set it so you won't smear...

Last Paint Sample...

... for a while - I promise! Though I have to admit I really had fun challenging myself to come up with different ways to use those little treasures.

I cut the strip into 3 of different lengths and banner punched the ends using the Hexagon punch... and spaced apart... I think it's a fun look. Speaking of fun, look at that rhinestone:

It matches the Bermuda Bay CS and ink... because I (ahem.. ... whisper...) used my Bermuda Bay Blendabilities... and if you don't have them, you can use a sharpie marker!

Paint Sample part 2

So I told you yesterday that I took home some of the paint sample cards... well... here is sample number 2

And just in case you were wondering how I positioned the stamp inside the square and not stamp on the paint sample card too... here is my little secret:

WASHI TAPE... works just like masking tape when painting LOL...

"Color Blocking" with Papillon Potpourri

Soooo Friday we went to the Home Improvement store to get some paint to do some touch up work in some rooms... and while I was trying to mach the yellow in my kitchen, my eye wondered and I pocketed 2 other paint sample cards as well... crafting was on my mind right then.

I am starting out with the purple strip (not a color in my house... one can dream though...)

I'll let you in on a little secret...I stamped some images directly onto the paint sample using black Stazon on and it didn't stamp right...grrrrrrrr... since now I needed to cover up on bad image, I changed plan altogether!
