August Stamp and Sip

This month we played with the Shaving Cream Technique and made tons of colorful backgrounds.

Here is ONE of the pieces used on a card. For this piece, I actually used a piece of Designer Series Paper that is white and has gold dots...

I added Wink of Stella to the Butterfly on the bottom right... it's nice a shimmery in real!

A sketch from "Sip and Stamp"

Last week we had our online meetinge called "Sip and Stamp" and this time I supplied the ladies with a card sketch (see further down)... Here is the card I came up with... You may notice some retired items like embossing folder and Designer Series paper... I am starting to use and still show-case those because a) you might have them  b) those cane be replaced with current items and c) it will still get you inspired and give you a starting point for your projects

When following a card sketch, you can either follow it to a "T" or use as guidance. Like here I didn't take the 3 flowers literal... I replaced them with butterflies. Equally, you could make the circle an oval or square/rectangle... have fun with layouts!

Oh and then while we were still chatting and crafting, I was able to put a second card together using scraps from my desk ;-)

Brilliant Wings in Foil

I am really behind in posting.... I made 2 cards semi recently LOL...

The first card doesn't have any stamping on the outside... I added the greeting on the inside because I didn't want to cover up the beautiful foiled butterflies ...

This card was made last week in my house, in my now stamp room, with just about everything still in the boxes. This was just a small section of my boxes LOL... my helpers were all worn out from watching me move stuff around and kept me company while I made the card.

The card below I made while I was still in the rental, when we had the stamp and sip session... I had tons of vibrant backgrounds to use, which made this card come together really fast too

My stamp room is starting to feel more like a space that I can work in soon. I still have lots to sort out, put away or put within reach and make it a great space again. I hope to craft and post more frequently soon. Please hang in there with me!

I appreciate you all!

Butterfly Brilliance (Watercolor wash)

Card #2 for our Stamp-a-Stack this month was this fun Butterfly closure card.

If we used the smaller butterfly for the closure, we simply added a larger vellum butterfly underneath first (the vellum CS was brayered/sponged in Gorgeous Grape)

To create the slit in the front of the card, we adhered the textured layer first, then punched the opening and adhered the cardstock punched shape back into the opening with mini glue dots... Here is a closer look of the inside of the card

The large butterfly is popped up on the punched shape, we used 4 mini dimensionals in the center to make sure it will stay on the card when pulled through the front...

Oh and the fun background, is a water-color wash... Simply get the watercolor paper REALLY WET, then use a stipple brush to apply 3 different inks, let dry and stamp over it..
