Sheltering Tree and Buffalo Check

I know we'be been doing this for a while, but sometimes we forger that we have newer stamping friends that may not know these little tricks... so it is worth repeating! You CAN emboss with our regular ink pads! You simply ink up your stamp with VersaMark ink first and then ink it up again, but this time in the color of your choice in our regular inks.... Stamp image, and quickly sprinkle clear embossing powder over it and heat emboss!

I've done that with the tree topper and the grass on this card...click to enlarge

Maybe you can see it better here:

Here is a little video that shows how I did that:

Falling For Leaves - Watermark Background

Well today I am back to remind you that our VersaMark ink pad has one basic function that we should never forget! And that is to create a watermark background by simply stamping images randomly in VersaMark ink. That will make your stamped image one shade darker than the cardstock color. So easy and you can create custom background papers in a jiffy!

I used the materials that I've received from my upline for our virtual meeting and followed the layout of her card but changed the background to remind you all of this easy technique!

The other day at stamp club one of my members asked how a card was done in that catalog and I verbally explained it to her, but promised her a video this week... And I did just that! But let me show you the card I made first and then the video from the Facebook live underneath...

Here is a close up for you ....
