Fable Friends and Lovely as a Tree

For today I wanted to combine new and old... especially the all time favorite "Lovely as a Tree" that is going to retire with this catalog. I think it has been the single oldest stamp set that has been loved my many over the years! Mine is dated 2001. That is a record of 18 years!

The card I created, also serves the purpose of introducing some of my line dance friends to stamping... I am taking the supplies along tonight and let the ladies make their own little Easter or Spring card...

I have some steps prepared ahead of time to make things go a little faster...

Happy Easter

Some of you may have missed my posts for the last 10 days or so... Well, I had some catching up to do for filing taxes last week... but now I am back and my goal is to stay ahead of the game.

I did manage to make some Easter Treats ... with the help of my Paper Pumpkin and thought I'd share the pictures today with you all.

The first one is done just like the kit suggested:

The 2nd one was meant to be just a little card... but I needed more treats so I made them into "bag toppers":

Happy Easter to all of you!

Thanks a Bunch

I've been wanting to make a card with Peeps on it for a while now... and started to play with the idea for next month's stamp club... The card I am posting today is not the one that made the cut LOL... but it's still cute!

March Stamp-a-Stack, Card #1 - Basket Bunch

Now I am going to show you one of this month's Stamp-a-Stack card ... which is an Easter card... I just LOVE the bundle used here! It's called "Basket Bunch"

It was a LOT of die-cutting, especially since the ladies were making 5 cards each LOL ... but we still had tons of fun!

ICS Blog Hop Welcome Spring

Welcome to our blog hop in March. The theme is to welcome Spring with a 3D item and a card. Which could also be Easter...

So I made a gift and card... one Easter and the other a spring Birthday.

Here is my 3D item... I used a polka dot cone cellophane bag to make a treat bag:

A better picture of the tag:

And in case you can't tell... the bunny ears are shimmery:

The ears were first colored in with Blushing Bride ink and blender pen, then glitter was added over it with the clear wink of stella glitter brush.

The cheeks were colored with a q-tip and ink from the Blushing Bride ink pad to give it a softer look.

And here is my card:

The background is simply sponged - I just tried to avoid the clouds to keep them white.

The clouds are shimmery too:

I just love those glitter pens!

Please be sure to check out the complete Blog Hop. I am sure there are tons of great ideas... Now hop on over to Jennifer Blomquist and see what she has to offer today. Simply click on the button below:

Hippity - Hoppity

and I am back just like that... Sorry, I missed posting yesterday.... It's true what they say...time flies when you're having fun LOL. It was way late when I notice that I had forgotten, so I decided rather than rushing a post, I'd just give you all a break... and pick back up today.

And I am here with a super cute Easter card:

And it is what I think is called "cut apart card", because the middle section of the card is missing...

See:

If you wonder how to do that... It's really simple! The CS for the card is 4 1/4 by 7 1/4, scored at 5 1/2. Then add any panel in the middle... and the bottom strip is 4 1/2 by 2.
I decorated the top and bottom section with DSP (calendar pages) from a previous Paper Pumpkin kit... You could stamp and make your own or just use DSP that you have on hand...

I really like the little Easter Bunny Chick... to add the ears to the chick is not my original Idea. I've seen it done several times in blog land and thought it was too funny and I had to make one too and it just makes me smile... I hope it has the same effect on you.

February Stamp-a-Stack

Thursday and Today we had our monthly Stamp-a-Stack session and I thought I’d better share the cards before I get busy with stamp clubs.

Here is card #1:

ears to you_sas_easter

Which could be an Easter Card… or a Birthday Card with this sentiment:

ears to you_sas

The Bunny stamp “Ears to You” is one of the Single Stamps that is only available until the end of the month! Let me know if you have to have one before it’s gone. By the way, it has all 3 bunnies and the greeting on one stamp. I chose to do minor surgery and cut it up so now I have 4 stamps Smile
