Horizon

Today I am going to share a card I made a few weeks back, but couldn't share then LOL.

The only stamping on this card is the sentiment! The rest is die-cut... it was so very easy to create... a little bit of sponging to create more depth and done. That Designer paper makes for some stunning backgrounds/sceneries!

No stamping today!

But I still made a quick card anyways. You see I was so busy with prepping class materials that time ran away and I honestly thought I wouldn't get to post today...

But I looked at my scrap pile and found some pieces that worked! See:

I still had the "hello" left over from a previous design session and it didn't make it onto that card. But today was it's day ;-) and no stamping...the little ink used was Early Espresso sponged on the little bird...

Scraps, scraps and no stamping

Today's card is one of those that was completely done from scrap pieces. Everything used came from my messy  nifty pile of cardstock next to my paper trimmer. I love when that works like that!

AND - there is no stamping what-so-ever on this card LOL. It came together in no time! I think I spend the most time deciding what to put in the center of each butterfly... You know... it's the little things that make us happy. And this discovery did make me happy!

Just in case you are wondering where those little green ovals come form. Here is a visual for you:

YEP - I used the oval tag hole from the "Chalk Talk" framelits! Isn't that too cool!

Look, Ma! NO stamping...

Since I had the "happy patterns" masks still sitting out.. I couldn't resist and give the one a try that has the small polka dots and the word "happy" in it...

And I have to confess, I did try it first with the spritzer filled with rubbing alcohol and re-inker, BUT I (or it) didn't do so well... it did bleed under the mask some and made the word blurry. I did not like that at all and tossed it! Then I pulled out my trusty sponge and ink pad and that worked pretty well with the word!

This was a very fast card! You could add stamped items of course... or even stamp "birthday" punch out and just have the layout a little different so it would work for that!

Say What? No, stamping???

Yep - totally no stamping on this card today. And guess what... I had a blast making it and it literally took no time!

I used the decorative masks (dots) and the black Project Life Journaling pen and scribbled inside the dots of the masks. I taped the Tempting Turquoise CS down onto the grip paper, placed the mask over it and secured it with washi tape... Here is my work process:

It's VERY easy - you should give it a try!
