December Stamp-a-Stack, Card #1 (Painted Poppies)

This month our cards are a little bit more artsy as we are sponging and splattering. The background on this card actually started out a black piece of cardstock and then we sponged whisper white craft ink in circular motion on it leaving some of the outside darker...

BTW - the stems of the flowers were created by cutting off the side leaves from the "branch" die-cuts leaving a skinny stem with one leaf on the top... added a small oval attached behind flowers

Celebrate Sunflowers sneak peak

Yesterday we had our online Zoom craft session and this time I presented the ladies with a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge. I will post my chart below so you can play as well if you like...

But here is my card that showcases the "Celebrate Sunflowers" bundle from the upcoming catalog. Which I had to have right away... I LOVE sunflowers...

In a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge you are presented with 9 squares. Each of them has a different option and you are supposed to pick 3 of them (across, down/up, or diagonally) and use on your card. I chose the one on the top... banner, distress, splatter

These challenges are a lot of fun and give you inspiration for a starting point... or to try out something new to you... Give it a try!

So Sentimental (using other shapes)

Today I wanted to show that how nicely the "So Sentimental" stamp set works with other die-cut shapes... While the matching "Stitched so Sweetly" dies are on backorder and currently not available I wanted to use it with what I have that is available...here... the oval from "Stitched Shapes"

Here is the card:

I saw a card where the die-cuts of leaves were the same color as the background cardstock they were adhered to ... making it look as it was textured cardstock.. so I had to create something similar ...

The splatters were created with white craft ink water mix and a brush and simply flicked onto the cardstock...

And talking about not available... well the coordination framelits "Nature's Thoughts" are not available anymore and I totally forgot that... however the little embellishments can be achieved with so many other great die-cut that we have...butterfly could be fussy cut...just sayin' if you missed out on that one...
