ICS Blog Hop Welcome Spring

Welcome to our blog hop in March. The theme is to welcome Spring with a 3D item and a card. Which could also be Easter...

So I made a gift and card... one Easter and the other a spring Birthday.

Here is my 3D item... I used a polka dot cone cellophane bag to make a treat bag:

A better picture of the tag:

And in case you can't tell... the bunny ears are shimmery:

The ears were first colored in with Blushing Bride ink and blender pen, then glitter was added over it with the clear wink of stella glitter brush.

The cheeks were colored with a q-tip and ink from the Blushing Bride ink pad to give it a softer look.

And here is my card:

The background is simply sponged - I just tried to avoid the clouds to keep them white.

The clouds are shimmery too:

I just love those glitter pens!

November Stamp-a-Stack, part 2

As announced yesterday, I am back today to show you card 2 of this month's Stamp-a-Stack and all of it's options (in case someone didn't need anymore Christmas cards)...

Here they are:

Here is how I did it:

-        To create the mask, the tree was stamped onto any color CS for approx. placement, then the leaf was die-cut over it
-        Mask was then places over white layer CS of same size and masking tape was folded around top left and bottom right to secure sandwich. Some masking tape was placed over the opening of the "stem" to cover it up
-        The leaf opening was then sponged in with 3 colors per card, always go from light to dark. Be careful when sponging over delicate parts of the opening, you may have to dab
-        Mask was removed and tree stamped in Early Espresso over it
