Bloomin' Heart Thanks
A while back I've seen a card done where the bloomin' heart was in the same color as the background and I really liked that subtle look. So today I made a "tone on tone" card myself...
BTW - this is a smaller card... it's only 4 1/4 by 4 1/4! But is the perfect little Thank you note ;-) which I needed today!

A world of Thanks
Today I needed a quick Thank You card and I wanted it have that "winter" feel to it be a bit seasonal. Here is what I came up with:
And since I still had some snowflakes punched from yesterday, I used them up and sort of have the same color scheme... I just stamped a few snowflakes in the background in Pool Party because I didn't want them to take away from the sentiment... Once I added the iced rhinestones to the snowflakes that really made the card ;-)

ICS Blog Hop Giving Thanks
Today the crew from "Inspire, Create & Share" Blog Hop is going to share projects with "Giving Thanks" in mind. It's fitting since Thanksgiving is just around the corner...
Here is my pilgrim hat card:
And the inside is a gift card/note holder:
Oh, in case you are wondering, yes this hat card will fit in a regular invitation size envelope!
How to get the hat shape:
You start out with a piece of CS that's 3 3/4 by 11 and fold in in half.
Then you'll measure in 1/2 inch on the top from both sides and make a little mark.
Take your paper trimmer and align the left dot and the left bottom corner on the cutting track and cut! Then repeat for the right side.
Edges were sponged in Early Espresso.
The brim is a piece of CS that's 4 1/4 by 1, sponged as well..

The technique is very easy. You just pull the cardstock across your bonefolder until the fibers of the cardstock start to break and the layers separate... here is the quick video:

Limited Supplies, but elegant!
Or so I think at least! Today I wanted to make a Thank You card that needed to be masculine and elegant. So I really didn't want to use and of the animal stamps. And thought it was time to make a black and white card!

Since it is VERY difficult to adhere things to the glimmer paper and the letters are so small and narrow, where I could not use dimensionals or even mini glue dots... I decided to use the negative cut... and like it! Now I have the letters left over and I can make another card and won't use glimmer paper as background... then I can use our nifty new fine-tip glue pen. Be on the look out...
PS: if you wonder how I got them so straight while cutting... I cheated and drew a pencil line on a piece of typing paper that's the same size as the CS, placed that paper on the CS, placed the letters on the line and secured them with post-it sticky paper...

Six-Sided Sampler at it again
Well the stamp set Six-Sided Sampler is just so perfect for quick Note cards. It seems that lately, I've been drawn to this set...
I took the picture in this weird angle so you could see the texture better and that the butterfly wings lift up..
It's a pretty simple card and came together very fast with the help of the fun Designer Series Paper Stack "Cherry on Top". I like the fun color combos in it! And of course I really like contrast, so the black makes everything pop but not to busy...

I just wanted to say... Thanks
Those 2 stamps were part of a previous Paper Pumpkin kit and I totally LOVE them.. the font and the simplicity!
And I even had the large die cut butterflies, that's why we have 2 different color versions of this card. Can't go wrong with combining any (bright) color with gray... I did use rhinestones on the "orange" version and pearls on the one that seemed a little more subtle

I had...oh shock... some left over pieces from a prior class on my desk, so I put them to use. It makes me happy when I get such fast results!

Bloom with Hope
The card I am sharing with you today, is another one that uses up left over Stamp-a-Stack supplies. Soon, you’ll call me left over queen LOL. If you scroll down to yesterday’s entry you can see the butterfly card used some of it, just a little different. I like when I can make my Thank You cards a little faster!
BTW – the flower was stamped in StazOn on the resist DSP (only available during Sale-a-Bration), and spritzed with rubbing alcohol mixed with re-inker… center was colored in with ink and Aqua Painter…

Playing Catch up!
I have to admit I’ve been neglecting to post to my blog quite a bit. So I promise I will do better… the posts may just be very short and to the point so we all can take a looksy and go on with our busy schedules…
That being said, let’s show the first one. It’s a Thank you card I made a while back for my stamp club orders.
The funny thing is… that this card was made for leftovers from one of the November Stamp-a-Stack cards…which I also forgot to post. So here is a quick look:
