Eastern Beauty

Today  I made a card with the Eastern Beauty bundle... because it's been calling my name for a couple of days now... and used only new in colors...

It was very hard to get a decent photo because of the scallop border on the bottom. Here is the card standing up:

And here the card is lying flat so you can see the border too:

Thailand Achievers Blog Hop - Annual Catalogue Sneak Peek

Welcome to the Thailand Incentive Trip Achievers Blog Hop for may 2017. This month our theme "2017/2018 Annual Catalog Sneak Peek". We want to show you some of the AMAZING products that are available for demonstrators to order right now! So if you join you are able to get your hands on this new product early. You are going to love this new Annual Catalog.

If you are reading my blog in an email, please be sure to click over to my blog to see the sample and the hop list underneath...

Here is my contribution for today's blog hop:

I've used the new hostess stamp set "Tranquil Tulips" and  all of the new in-colors:

Here is a closer look  at the tulips... I've popped up the top layer!

Oh and that frame was made from ONE piece of 12x12 CARDSTOCK! My demonstrator friend Kerstin Kreis (from Germany) showed how to make the frame on Facebook the other day and I couldn't resist to make one too! Thanks Kerstin for the great video (I of course used inches for measurements not centimeters)

To start you'll score each side of the cardstock at  3/4  +  1 1/2  +  2 1/4  +  3
then you cut the outer corners off, so it will look like this:

(If you need info in cm... it's every 2cm, also the marking below)

Then you'll mark 3/4 in on the 2nd panel on left and right side on 2 opposing sides, now mark and cut out areas as pictured below (click on photo to enlarge)

Then start rolling the sides in that have the mitered cuts:

Then roll the sides in that are straight, and tuck them right into the mitered corners!

I am sorry this was a bit lengthy, but I thought some of you might want to make a frame yourself ...

OK...back to our hop.... You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Claudia Perry or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Claudia Perry.

New goodies!

Yesterday I received my box with new catalog pre-order items and of course had to play with something new right away.

Today I am showcasing one of our new in-colors called "Lemon Lime Twist". It is a very bright and cheery color. But since I am not so secure in using bright colors in combination, I felt it was best for me to use black and white with it. But I can't wait to learn of other great color combos in the near future.

And of course I had to have the "Happy Birthday" framelit, no question asked. I've been waiting on THIS one like forever. We needed that in our supplies to make quick birthday cards!

Flourishing Phrases in Peach

Today I got to play "again" with my new bundle "Flourishing Phrases". And while I did NOT use a sentiment from the set, I did use the bold flower stamp...

Here is my card:

I stamped the flower off every now and then so it wouldn't be so overpowering. Love this color combo too!

Touches of Texture

.... is quickly becoming another of my favorites. But I am sure you all saw this coming!

Today I am going to share a quick card with you that was a make and take on the incentive trip. But because I didn't have time to make it there... LOL, seriously was only able to pick up the supplies... I made it at home with what I had for greetings and embellishments.

Here it is:

I'm really liking the Emerald Envy

Confession time. ... when I first saw the new in color "Emerald Envy" I thought it would be the least of my favorites... but now... I am really liking it! So much that I made a card just with it... and some neutrals:

It's such a fresh color!  I hope you like it as much as I do...cause I might use it lots more ;-)

Fox or Cat or Raccoon?

Well, you see... I used the new stamp set/punch bundle "Foxy Friends" and you can make all sorts of critters with it.   And I made a cat with a striped tail...  because they "do exist" LOL

I also used the matching "A little Foxy" Designer Series Paper and the new In Color Enamel shapes on the card... Sorry I can't link to the online shop yet... because you all have to wait until tomorrow. But I wanted to give you another cute preview.

Oh and the darker blue cardstock and ink is the new yummy "Dapper Denim". I LOVE this new In Color!

Have fun stamping...

Grand Vacations Achievers Blog Hop July - Color Me New

Welcome to the Grand Vacation Achievers hop for July. This month we are excited to show off the brand new In colors from the just released 2015 – 2016 Annual Catalog. We hope you find great inspiration from the projects.
You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Claudia Perry or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. At the moment you are visiting Claudia Perry.

I decided to use Watermelon Wonder and Delightful Dijon together with a tiny dash of Tip Top Taupe:

For this card, I wanted a "sunset" look and thought I'd try that with my Watercolorwash Background stamp! I used my brayer to apply Delightful Dijon to the bottom part of the stamp, cleaned the brayer and then did the same in Watermelon Wonder to the top part and let the colors overlap some. Then I stamped the flowers in black memento and sponged the bottom heavy to cover up the different heights of the bottom of the stamp.. and sponged around the edges to complete the look. This time I wanted the antennae that is part of the larger butterfly stamp, so I also stamped it onto my background piece. Then when I had punched out the 2nd one I glued that shape over it and that did the trick! (I am posting a supply list on the very bottom of this post...)

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don't want to miss. Remember that currently you are at my blog - Claudia Perry, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next in the list:

This is The Life... in Color

I like when color selection is a "no-brainer"... cause sometimes I can spend some time just deciding what to use together...  For today's card I knew I wanted to use a sheet from the "Cherry on Top" Designer Series Paper. And due to that my colors were selected...

I used Tip Top Taupe for the card base and then layers and punched shapes in Whisper White, Watermelon Wonder, Cucumber Crush... The image was stamped in Island Indigo. What a cheerful color combo!

I took a close up on the flower so you could see just how dimensional it is... I've used my bonefolder to curl all the petal on all of the layers ;-)

BTW - the Pansy Punch is still on sale until Monday night!!!

ICS Blog Hop Introducing the 2015-2017 In Colors

While on the incentive trip, I had the pleasure to meet Deb Naylor. We had fun talking while waiting for the bus and on the ride to take us to the BBQ. Deb was so nice to invite me to be part of a monthly blog hop called "inspire create & share". Of course I was very excited and jumped right on the offer. AND I will try to participate each month (1st Wednesday), so you can get more ideas from my fellow Stampin' Up! demo blog hoppers as well!

This month we are introducing the new in-colors. Since I had ordered them all before I left and they arrived while I was gone...I was able to put a card together right away. I am happy to share my sample with you

I've only used 2 of the 5 new colors because I so wanted to use the new ribbon called "Dotted Lace Trim" which I only ordered in "Tip Top Taupe" so far... and wanted a calm look...

The card base and stamped flower are in Tip Top Taupe and the layer between the white is our new Mint Macaron. I also used my Aqua Painter and colored the flower in a tiny bit to give it a water colored look. The little flower embellishment on the left in Mint Macaron is from the In Color "Blossom Accents" embellishment pack, it comes with 20 of those little beauties (4 of each color)!

The stamp set is a new hostess set called "Best Thoughts" and a must have in my book!

Be sure to check out all the great ideas from the fellow "hoppers" by clicking the next button below on each blog:

Here is the whole gang of the new in colors... just so you can get familiar with the names already:
