Here is my creation:

I absolutely LOVE the new "Subtle" embossing folder and wanted to really point it out because you might just overlook it in the catalog. It's a GEM! It makes it easy to give your card texture without taking away from a detailed image or the layout... BTW the pretty polka dot ribbon was dyed with a little of re-inker and rubbing alcohol... also a must have in my book!

New Catalog and May Stamp-a-Stack

Time has flown by here at my house. The new catalog has arrived and I love it! If you don’t have a copy yet, let me know when you would like to pick one up. Blogger's Challenge - Alter it, sort of...

Hi Guys! For yesterday's Blogger's Challenge we were to create an altered item... Well I had all intentions of making up something new, but the time got away because we had too much fun at Stamp-a-Stack (will post those further down)... and because my NEW catalogs came in :-)

So I was almost worried I had nothing to post that would match the "theme". But then I reached for me glue gun (ATG) and it almost bit me :-)

You see... I've decorated mine like a week ago so there wouldn't be any mix-up! I've die cut daisies and the letters "C" and "P" from black Vinyl and added them to the case...

Yes, you can see it resting on the new catalogs... If you are local and you don't have your own copy yet, please contact me... You don't want to miss out on this one!

they are not too over powering but noticeable enough I think!

So there you go, this is my "lame" Blogger's Challenge participation for this week. But I thought I should share this idea so you can use your Sizzix Dies and Vinyl as well to decorate your "tools"...

The SAS cards on the other hand were not so lame and everyone had a real good time Thursday night and Friday morning.

Stampin' Supplies - not missing

Hi guys, by now you may have read your new catalog from front to back and back to front... and you may have noticed that the list of "Stampin' Supplies" seems to be missing from it.

DON'T panic! We still have it... just not in the book. You can find it right here:

If you like, you can even save this pdf file to your computer!

And if one day you can't remember where you found it, you can always find the "Helpful Info" category on the right side panel of this blog... and it's listed there too.

If however you would like to print the list and the one above has too many pages for your taste, please e-mail me and I'll send you a text only file with less pages.

Dormant List

Since the new catalog has arrived and some of you picked it up already, I wanted to point out one very important thing. Every year when catalogs change over there will be a Dormant List, which accompanies the main catalog.

The Dormant List contains stamp sets that, while they have not been retired, are not listed in the current catalog. These sets are available for purchase during the listed timeframe and may or may not be listed again in future catalogs.

The new Dormant List is available now (Stamps listed on there, are available January 19-June 30, 2009).

So before you have a minor (or major) heart attack over a "missing stamp set", please be sure to check the dormant list :-)

Tip: You may want to print it out and put with your catalog so you can refer to it when you need it...

Match up the new In-colors

Catalog Preview/Sneak Peek

Well today I've received my new items that I've pre-ordered and actually put the stamp sets already together - don't you just LOVE the fact that all NEW sets will be die cut!?

AND I just had to try out one set. It's a new Level 2 Hostess Set and it's called "Deer Friends" - It's a set of 8 circle stamps and very adorable!

I've participated in a challenge tonight and used this set right away. Here is my card:

Actually, come to think of it - I used TWO new stamp sets on this card... The other one (the pretty greeting...) will be a regular set and is called "Heard from the Heart".

And to tease you a little more... I also used our NEW Scallop Edge Punch - And boy was it EASY to align!

Since I don't have any Christmas Stamps set after they retire, I didn't even have a snowflake to use :-( But I wanted a "snowflake look" so I've used a stamp from the "Wanted" Set, and think it is OK to use. What do you think?
